Tarot

A complete tarot deck of 78 cards: the 22 Major Arcana and the 56 cards of the four suits — coins, cups, swords and wands. Designed and printed in 2022.

Each card keeps the traditional order and its old symbols — the Fool with his bundle and his dog, the Tower struck from above, the Moon over two towers and a crayfish — and retells them in Sandro’s flat colours, hand-drawn figures and lettering.

The deck is shown here card by card: first the Major Arcana, then the suits, each from one to ten followed by its page, knight, queen and king.

Exhibited in A Fool’s Odyssey, Florence, 2024
